Our SS is targetting to get us in by end of May ! That would be just wonderful ! Fingers, toes & anything else possible, seriously crossed !!!

Have got to say that we are extremely happy with the pace at the moment. Of course, it will never be fast enough but realistically, Eden Brae have been working at a steady pace for several weeks now with plenty to show for it.
Lots & lots of little details yet to be completed, that don't make a huge difference to the appearance of the house but are very, very time consuming.

Have had a hiccup with the kitchen island benchtop. This is what was installed :

This is what should have been installed - note the waterfall edge :

Happy to say that our CSR, Sally, is right on it. In less than 24 hours, she advised that a Variation would be raised to rectify the mistake made by the kitchen company. Yay for Sally. She is surely an asset to Eden Brae. I hope they realise it !

  1. Hi, I hope you don't mind me following your blog but we also live in Sutherland Shire and have been investigating the possibility of building our own home. We are still very early stages, still looking for somewhere to build but your posts have given me lots of inspiration
    and motivation!

  2. Hey there Debs!! Not at all - glad to have you join us.It's not all bad. You just have to understand that things will go wrong. Accepting that, is 1/2 the battle.

  3. love our kitchen you have sooo much cupboard space, very jealous

  4. ps how did you go with EB re packing of the bathroom cornices - no issue with EB are they happy to redo?

  5. Actually, I've got soooo much stuff & so little storage b/c of floorplan changes, that I'll have to get made a built-in unit adjacent to the end of the cupboards.

  6. Looking really good southies.

After quoting around we went with Accent blinds in Castle Hill.

    Everything crossed for you :-)

  7. Looking great southies, everyhing crossed for you.
